Contemplative Writing Prompts for Lent: 15

Today’s installment of Contemplative Writing Prompts for Lent is a gift my beloved friend who sent me the recording of Oh Happy Day by the Edwin Hawkins Singers. Listen to it for the first 5 minutes of your contemplative writing time today. Listen and feel it. In your chest, and in your heart. Know that it is true.

Then pick up your pen and write “Oh happy day when ….” If you can’t think of one thing that makes you happy, keep writing “Oh happy day,” “Oh happy day,” “Oh happy day,” “Oh happy day.”

When the time is up, quit.

I hope after today’s Contemplative Writing Prompts for Lent: 15 you are in a happy day.
